Google created its own programming language and called it Go, the problem is that they forgot to check if someone had used it before.
Someone did, here is a guy who wrote his own programming language and called it Go a while ago, he submitted a ticket to Google here.
Its September 2010 now and he still haven’t heard anything from Google.
