Its Juni Cecilie’s birthday today

When people are eager to create new services some of them are most likely to fail or step into unknown areas. Like our Phone directory telefonkatalogen.no. When you search a person you now will see their birthday as well, combining them with public tax-searches you’ll also find birth year.

I find this amusing, its ok with me but a lot of people react to this.

What the newspaper don’t mention is that you can enter a date and then find all the people in Norway who has birthday – I find that even more funny.

Skywatch Friday – Welcome to the Pyramid

The 11,5 meter high pyramid is incredible fun to climb – kids love it. It was bought by the local authorities to give the kids some fun to do. It cost about $170000. Only Singapore and Sydney has one – we’re proud to have it in Åsane/Bergen now. :)

Koenigsegg boat?

Johan Wejedal is in my opinion a design genius. I love the way he is able to create futuristic crafts. Check his latest illustration, a Koenigsegg Speedboat :

I’m a bit unsure if this will ever become real but I think what he did was incredibly cool, who would dare compete with this boat?

He also designed this awesome police car :

Fun Paypal buttons

I was inspired by Stan’s awesome can at his blog and it triggered me to search for other creative Donate buttons. I found some neat ones and wanted to share them in a way I hope you think is fun. I tried to implement a digg-like function but ended up modifiying Lester Chan’s Postratings plugin. I hope you forgive me Lester!

The can were designed by Jack at Room 237: Origins.

If you know of anyone else who deserve to be on this list please leave the url in a comment, and I’ll add it to the entries.

Please remember that you can’t copy their designed buttons without their permission, some of them are bought, and some designed them theirselves.

  • Fun solutions – upside-down

Sometimes I have to help friends or family with their PC, wlan etc. One time I had to help one because their wlan were open and neighbours were using it. I remembered someone creating a genius solution for this.

I know this is old but it deserve to be bumped a little. There was a guy who were fed up by neighbours who leached on his wlan, not wanting to lock it he thought of a more fun way to torture his neighbour. He created a split on his wlan so when his neighbour connected he got on an own system. And in that system were a script which turns every image upside down! So when his neighbour surfed around everything seemed ok except the images that were upside down.

I love this one. You can read about it here.
