7 weird facts about me

I’ve been tagged by Reggy at Fragileheart.com with this meme! Its been a while since I did this and I can’t ignore meme tags from Reggy. =)

I have to make a list of weird or random facts about me, but only 7! I’ve spent some time now to narrow the list down to 7 weird facts about me. Or should I say 7 random weird facts about me?

Here is the rules :
1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Share Seven Random and/or Weird Facts about yourself
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs
4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Here goes :

  1. To create a post-image I spent almost an hour to find the word “me” in as many languages I could.
  2. I get sick by more than one plate of tomatosoup, but I love tomatoes raw.
  3. I get angry when people chew with their mouth open, but I don’t say anything even if my head is about to explode.
  4. I walk silly, I think its because I started walking too early.
  5. I love to read ancient soviet science fiction books
  6. I love to sit in the car listening to hammering rain, its great in carwash too.
  7. I love to tease people, for instance stand up in the bus and give away seats to midleaged people, its fun when they get insulted.

Reggy, I think you’re fairly weird, in a good way. =)

I am tagging :

John Chow, Saphrym, Peter Korkala, Ren B, Nicole B, AutumnFawn and Keera.

Plurk

I can’t resist trying new sites and services. Since I like twitter a lot I had to try Plurk. Plurk has a new concept of shortposting, it provides a neat timeline of yours and your friends plurking and you can much easier respond to others plurking. Like this for instance where you can find plurkers near you :

It also have a nice widget you can put on your blog or site. I think this is going to grow. As you extend your usage by writing, adding friends comment etc you get higher carma. The more carma the more chance you have to get on the frontpage. I’m not much into that but its a fun feature. Be sure to read the Safe plurking tips and the FAQ. Its also possible to embed images and other media to your plurk, that is a great function. See you on Plurk! :)

A fun Disney template for Plurk: hehedy can be found here, its a Disney Halloween template with Donald Duck and his friends.

Check it out here. :)

Entrecard, 4th of July and Digg

Suddenly I’ve hundreds of friends on Digg, this is fun! Now I can follow what they are Digging and they can follow me. If they like they can shout new posts to inform their friends on Digg that they have posted – and I can send to them. Graham at Entrecard initiated this group of friends last week and it became very popular and still growing. You can read about it at entrecard.com.

Entrecard is growing in a fast phase, and Graham pumps in refreshing functions and ideas quiet often these days, its not just a widget on my blog – its a living social networking system.

I’ve installed a plugin from Ryan Christenson which put a Digg button on each post, its configurable as well, I liked it a lot. You can check it out here

Happy 4th of July America! :)

Funtagged!

I haven’t seen this until Nicole at NicholeB Photography funtagged me. Its pretty cool, I’ve found many great blogs this way – my feedsub list is growing each day and its exciting to follow this. How far will it go?

Heres how it goes :

Rule #1: Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate letter of the alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that letter “A” and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

A acowboyswife.com
B bloggingcents.com
C caffeine-overload.com
D delusionsofgrandeur.org
E everythingandanythingblog.com
F forumfinder.net
G GeekMomMashup.com
H hoysater.no
I ipentimento.com
J juliesjournal.com
K kabalyero.com
L ladylike4.com
M michaelpark.net
N nicoleb.org
O originalmx5.net
P peapodsquadstuff.com
Q qweddings.com
R rowdigrl.com
S shirleysdelight.com
T TenaciousCreations.com
U utada-online.net
V valmg.com
W wickedbabylon.com
X xaviermedia.com
Y yimto.com
Z zbudapest.com

Replaced link: happykeg.com
Previous tagger: nicoleb.org

Rule #2: You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community.

Here is the ones I tag :

Nickoo Shore
THe Inner Breath
About Every Litle Thing
Aman’s Space
Goofy Girl Blog

Have fun!

Entrebanking

entrebank

Biz Beacon at Entrebanker is first out with a great idea. He will help new Entrecarders get started by loaning them Entrecredits! Great idea since its though for newcomers to advertise on the more profiled sites. Kudos to you!

Loaners are already applying, its going to be fun to follow this up.

By the way, Biz Beacon have several Blogs, one is dedicated Entrecard and it is good reading, check it out.

Do Follow?

Do follow

To be honest to you, I am flattered when people comment my posts. That way I know that I am not only posting for myself – someone reads my stuff and comments widen my horizon. I love comments.

Before Akismet, Defensio and other antispam systems Google had to implement the nofollow tag, it was just silly for them to index all the junk, but among them was the real comments, kind of victims of spam.

Now that we don’t let spam out, I wonder if its time to let the comments get rewarded again, kind of saying thank you for commenting me. If I remove the nofollow tag your site will be linked from my blog and search engines will embed that link in the system, like any other link.

The Do Follow “riot” is appearing on more and more sites, you can even submit your blog if you remove the nofollow tags. Check out Blogs that follow, Do Follow List, Do Follow Directory etc.

Would you like me to implement Do Follow on my blog?

  • Yes please! (93%)
  • No don’t do it! (7%)

If you answer no, please leave a comment why ok?

One thing I am specially curious about is how people are going to react to this. Are people going to comment just to get linked? I “think green” and hope that people will continue as before and just be intrigued by the new bonus.

BTW there are a few great plugins for WordPress to remove the nofollow tags, like Do Follow 4.0 by Kimmo Suominen and Semiologic’s Dofollow.

RSSHugger

RSSHugger

A new system is at works, RSSHugger, an exciting project by Colin Lahay. And ofcourse I have to try that one as well. It looks great and the concept is fun, I wont stand a chance to the big ones but the blog-adventurer I am these days I cant let this go past me. You can either pay $20 or write a post like this to get enlisted. I would write about this anyway so… Right now there is 676 feeds registered, its going to be fun to follow up this service. The Top 100 is reset each month. Here is info from RSSHugger :

The Idea
rssHugger is a unique website that aims to bring bloggers and readers together. rssHugger aims to provide blog owners with a unique easy-to-use way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic, building backlinks for search engine optimization, as well as attracting new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader. rssHugger aims to help visitors be able to easily find blogs that write about subjects they are interested in. These subjects include: internet marketing, making money online, charity, sports, gambling, and many more. If the visitors find a blog that they had not previously heard about, they can easily add it to their RSS readers or bookmark it.
