Obama on every frontpage|Obama på alle forsider

My personal opinion is that he deserves somekind of prize for just saying that the American army should allow gay people again.

Many think that the Nobel Prize has lost its value, some even mean that next years winner probably will be a Miss Universe/World contestant. Some think it should be possible to withdraw awards, like Arafat or Wiesel – who fought for peoples rights and against racism. But later he fought for the Iraqi war leading to thousands of innocent dying.

Today the Norwegian newspapers write about the Nobel Prize Committee decision and how many of them who were against the decision. 3 of 5 in the Committee was against it. Most likely it was the nuclear downgrading that convinced them.

The newspaper-readers have voted, now its time for the Øblog-readers to vote:

[poll id=10]

I’ve split the vote in two, one for my Norwegian readers and one for the international ones.

This is how the Norwegians vote:

[poll id=9]

Great poll question, and I did answer it, I won’t say how I voted, but it should not be too hard to figure it out, if you have ever visited my page.

Of course I’ve read your blog, I think a lot of people feel the same way you do and you have lots of people here in Norway who agree with you. I’m glad you haven’t ditched Entrecard yet btw.

Since you brought up the subject of Entrecard, I really do not understand all of the fuss. If Entrecard needs to take a mere 15% of ad time on my blog to stay up and running thats fine with me. As long as that ad time does not go to porn sites, which I highly doubt, so what? The network is one of the best traffic generators that I have tried, so I would rather give up 15% of ad time than to have the network disappear.

I guess its the history of bad administration that provokes it. It doesn’t take much to create a horde of angry users, they censor, ban and such without investigating or giving the users a notice. The payed ad is just a drop in the ocean.

Obama should not have been given this award at all.Just what has he done to deserve it,nothing the way I view it.Perhaps we should give him the Heisman as well.

Nothing more than a poor way to try and boost his ratings.
So I guess you know how I voted now.

They must have had a hard time finding someone to award it to. That doesn’t say much about the people of the world or the people on the board, does it? I just do not think someone who is elected to keep peace as his job(we expect him to do that) should be given this award meant for someone who does it out of their heart for no Gain! It really does devalue the Noble Peace Prize.

  5. Hi Oyvind,
I think it is great! This means I can win the Nobel Peace Prize next year. I’m thinking about writing a book someday, so maybe they can give me the Nobel Prize for Literature while they’re at it… ~ Steve, the trade show guru
