The «candle» were lit to song and some preaching, we didn’t see much so we moved on to say hello to workers in Santa-forest (seasonable name). This has been done for 10 years now. I read now that it was our bishop preaching, I didn’t notice that. 🙂

    We managed to fit 6 rollers in the roller-section of the funicular, that was impressive. Next weekend we’re going up instead though, its a lot of hassle to take the funicular with roller.

    Visiting Santa and his wife, our little one loved it – they have a cozy cabin.

    After taking the funicular down we went to our favorite restaurant in the city center, I always end up taking photos in there, so many fun stuff to look at.

Lyset ble tent til allsang og litt preken, vi så ikke så godt så vi gikk videre mot nisseskogen. Det er litt styr med barnevogn på Fløibanen så neste helg har vi bestemt oss for å gå istedet.

    Her er nissemor og nissefar sammen med 500 år gamle Ulv, en utrolig herlig gjeng – de hadde laget det veldig koselig oppe i nissehytten. Her fikk barna fylle ut ønskelister og snakke litt med nissefamilien – vi tok også en liten nissesang der vi satt.

    Da vi kom ned gikk vi på favorittrestauranten vår, der ender jeg alltid opp med å ta bilder, de har så mye artige motiver. Men først og fremst er maten helt konge.

    Tonight we celebrated the first Sunday in advent in ‘Old Bergen’. The mayor lead the annual torch parade which ended up at the old square where the christmas tree stands, ready to be lighted.

    A lot of people participated this year, they even didn’t have enough torches. We were a bit late so we didn’t get one, but I think that is better than when they have lots of torches left because people aren’t showing up. We had a great time and the athmosphere were awesome.

    Earlier we visited the old mill, a few artist workshops and the old jeweller, Santa in the old barn and we had a cup of coffee and some cake at the old restaurant. If you come to Bergen once I recommend visiting Old Bergen.

    It is an open air museum with more than 40 wooden houses, representative of the Bergen architecture in the 18th and 19th centuries. The houses have interiors from the 18th, 19th and the 20th centuries, and give picture of life in a small town with its dwellings, different shops, baker, barber, dentist, photographer etc. The museum area is open all year.

    I kveld besøkte vi Gamle Bergen for å feire første søndag i advent. Borgermesteren ledet an fakkeltoget og vi gikk i lang rekke opp til torget hvor juletreet står. På 1, 2, 3 ropte alle – både voksne og barn ‘Tenn Lys’! Det var en herlig stemning der og vi koste oss masse.

    Tidligere besøkte vi den gamle møllen, noen kunstner-workshops, sølvsmeden og nissen på loven. Vi var også innom restauranten og slappet av med kaffe og kake. En slik ettermiddag anbefales på det varmeste, kjempemorro for barna – juleverksted, pepperkakebaking og mye annet. Det som var litt morsomt var at julenissen delte ut tran til barna, det var en ny vri.
