A quiet and peaceful Christmas

(Share your Christmas post below) Yet again we were given a white Christmas, its the last piece on my kind of Christmas-puzzle. I love waking up to find this view out our living room window, its calming and it looks so peaceful. A perfect start for the Christmas Eve. When I step outside to get more wood I take a moment to breath in the silence, only sound from wing flaps from small birds gathering breakfast can be heard, almost unrealistic beautiful.

Later the family gathered to eat rib of lamb, both smoked and dried this year. A heavenly meal with good company before Santa rang the doorbell and the kids got a present each – a big moment for the little ones. Later we opened one by one gift while drinking coffee, eating cakes and cookies, kids started to play with some toys – a beautiful evening. Around half past eleven we headed home. Our youngest one had already fallen asleep, a long day with a lot of impressions for her. 🙂

Today we enjoyed the snow and went sledding at a field near us, it felt real good to use our bodies a bit after all the Christmas food, especially since we were going to visit my parents later to eat more. 🙂

The view from my parents house, I never get tired of it.

I hope you and yours had a pleasant Christmas as well! Did you write a post of your Christmas days and want to share it? You can do it under here if you like:

Snow can look so beautiful when it is falling on someone else. Of course, when I was young buck, I felt differently.
