In 2014 they are going to start building a permanent viking village here.

Jeg forstår godt at entusiaster gleder seg til dette. Jeg ble litt nysgjerrig og søkte litt, fant ut at det er planlagt en permanent vikingby på området, det ser kjempespennende ut.

Visiting Vassfaret Bear park|En tur innom Vassfaret bjørnepark

The park covers 95 acres (380 decares) of land. Approximately 13 acres (50 decares) are alotted to the large animals, the elk and the bear. You may easily pass most of the day here in the open nature, walking, and being close to the animals, enjoying the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature. When the park is open, homely fare is available at Bertestugu, or, if preferred, fastfood from Bamsebua. If you bring your own food, you may prepare it over the open fire in the lavvo (laplanders’ tent), or use the gas barbecue.

I have to admit that it felt a bit weird seeing these animals within fences, it didn’t feel right.

De har oppgradert, pusset opp og bygget ut noe voldtsomt i det siste – det har blitt et veldig flott anlegg. Selv om jeg ikke liker helt å se slike dyr i fangeskap så synes jeg det var veldig fascinerende å få se disse dyrene på nært hold. Både bjørn og Elg hadde store innheng de kunne bevege seg i, parken omfatter 380 mål hvorav elg og bjørn har tilsammen 50 mål. Vi fikk med oss matingen av bjørnene som begynte kl 13, da fikk de en masse epler. Det mest populære for minsten var egentlig de små kaninene, vi fikk gå oppi til dem og hilse på – det likte hun veldig godt.

Weirdest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in|De merkeligste hotellrom jeg har bodd i

Here is two of the weirdest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in.

I have to say that we didn’t want to spend too much money on hotels – there were so much else to spend it on. This is why we ended up at some weird places, but they were great in many ways – we really felt like being someone’s guests. So if you’re the owner of these ones I hope you don’t get offended, we enjoyed our stay.

Her er to av de merkeligste hotellrommene vi bodde på.

Det må sies at vi ikke ønsket å bruke alle pengene våre på hotell, derfor endte vi opp på mange rare steder – og det sies at en god latter forlenger livet. Da vi åpnet dørene til disse følte vi straks at vi kom til å leve lenger.

Toy from Donald Duck too dangerous for airport|Donald Duck leketøy er farlige greier

I feel very safe having them around me.

Oskar, a seven year old kid were stopped at the air port security today, at our local airport Flesland here in Bergen. Guess what the security guys had to confiscate?

It makes me wonder; the day we really need the security guys – will they be able to protect us?

I dag kjøpte Oskar (7) seg et Donald-blad med leke, han ble stoppet av sikkerhetsvaktene og terror-våpenet ble konfiskert, her er våpenet :

Bra jobbet Flesland! De har i mellomtiden unskyldt hendelsen men gjort er gjort! Jeg opplever stadig slikt på Flesland, i en kø ser jeg at folk må ta av seg skoene tvert, mens ingen behøver dette i en annen kø. Det er utrolig forskjell på de som jobber der. Jaja, gratis underholdning! Problemet er at når vi virkelig trenger dem en dag, vil de klare å gjøre jobben sin?

How is your view right now?|Hvordan er utsikten din akkurat nå?

Sometimes its good to have no plans at all, just relax and watch people scurry to and fro. We stopped at a bakery to have some lunch, its hot outside – probable around 27 degrees celcius today as well!

Det er godt å ikke ha planer, sitte og slappe av å se på folk haster frem og tilbake. Det var godt med en liten pause i skyggen også, jeg tror det må være minst 27 grader i dag også.

Yesterday we had awesome weather, a bit misty but it was time to visit the mountain again. The Area cableway was recently re-openend after a long period of maintainance – now it welcomes tourists to visit a great place with a lovely view. Way below you can see the stadium of our local football team Brann.

On 643 meters you are the king of the world, in Bergen.

27 degrees celcius, the summer is here. Its fun to see tourists enjoying the visit, and its fun to be a tourist in your own town.

En kamerat og jeg tok den nyrestaurerte Ulriksbanen opp for å ta litt bilder og nyte dagen. De har vært kjempeflinke der oppe, aldri før har det sett så greit ut der oppe – men utsikten er den samme, like nydelig.

27 grader, sommeren er her. Synd at det var litt dis men vi hadde en fantastisk dag. Turistene koste seg og på den nye restauranten satt folk og spiste god mat med den perfekte utsikt.

ASCAP wants you to pay each time your phone rings|Hvor skal dette ende?

[lang_en]ASCAP (American Society of Composers) has done it again. Now they want us to pay each time our phone rings if we’ve purchased a ringtone. Its like a mini-concert they say – because bypassers can listen to the music too!

ASCAP is known for stopping girl scouts singing at camps : BrandNameBullies.

ASCAP has about 360,000 members, I suggest we start boycotting one by one and see what happends. If everyone does that it will hurt the artists, I know – that is not what I want. But I want them to realize that they are ruining their future by paying organizations like ASCAP to take care of their copyright deals. We need a new music industry where the arists get the money. Are you with me?

[/lang_en][lang_nb-no]Nå er musikkindustrien på’n igjen og vil ha penger for hver gang telefonen vår ringer. Ringetoner som man har kjøpt og lastet ned. Det kan jo hende at forbipasserende hører ringetonen og da blir jo det som en liten minikonsert sier ASCAP. Dette er de samme folkene som ville ha penger fra speiderjentene som sang kjente sanger rundt leirbålet.

Hvor skal dette ende? Må vi til slutt ut med penger om vi nynner litt på en melodi mens vi sitter på bussen?

Hvor langt kan de strekke dette til folket eksploderer? Jeg er på grensen til å boykotte artister som er medlem av slike musikkpirater, om alle gjør det samme så kommer det til å gå hardt utover artistene men det er kanskje dette som må til for å renske opp i systemet? Men jeg er ikke ute etter å skade artistene, ikke så veldig lenge ivertfall, men inntil de kvitter seg med musikkindustriens pengegriske. Hele musikkindustrien bør endres slik at vi kan hjelpe artistene litt bedre enn disse organisasjonene. Jeg er sikker på at de håver inn milliarder på dette hvor artistene kun sitter igjen med utgiftene.

ASCAP har 360000 medlemmer så det er mye å ta tak i. Hvem blir med? 🙂

Threw beer on Morrissey|Tryggest i Bergen

He stopped the concert and asked if someone could point the idiot out and give him a round. The band stepped offstage and waited. Suddenly a man was pushed towards the scene and then the band came out again and continued the concert. If I were Morrissey I would have left.

Its not the first time people in Oslo do this, I can understand why artists prefer to come to Bergen instead. Heres the reactions of the Morrissey-forum : link.

Det har aldri skjedd i Bergen, kanskje det er derfor de store artistene foretrekker vestlandet? 🙂

Morrissey er ikke første kjendis som det kastes øl på i Oslo, Carola i 1999, miksebordet til Hellbillies ble dynket i øl i 2008, Datarock konserten i 2007, Iron Maiden konserten i 2007 etc. Rockefeller og Sentrum Scene er vel verstingene.

Det eneste av ølkasting på konserter i Bergen er vel Jokke-konserten, men der tror jeg det er obligatorisk, spesielt under To fulle menn.

Touching story|En rørende historie

Its about Colby the 10 year old girl who had a rare form of cancer and didn’t have much time left. I am ready to die but not yet she said. She had seen the trailer for Pixar’s Up and wanted to see that first. But because of her illness she couldn’t be moved to the theatre, and the film hadn’t been released on DVD. Her friends called Pixar desperatly and asked for help to grant her last wish. And Pixar did! They flew in an employee with a DVD of Up to her! 7 hours laters she passed away..

Det er en historie om en liten jente på 10 år som har kreft og ikke har så lenge igjen. Hun har så lyst til å se ‘Up’ av Pixar før hun dør, ‘jeg er klar til å dø men jeg vil se filmen først’ sa hun. Hun var så syk at hun ikke kunne bli flyttet på, så hun kunne ikke se den på kino, og den var ikke kommet på DVD ennå. Venner av henne ringte desperat til Pixar for å spørre om de kunne hjelpe henne med et siste ønske – og det kunne de! En ansatt i Pixar fløy til 10-åringen med en DVD og lot henne få se filmen. 7 timer etterpå så døde Colby.
