    I was curious how some of my favourite bands of the 80’s were doing these days and did some searching. I was surprised to see how many of them that are still active.

    Some have faded away and some have changed names but many of them are still producing music and tours. I have a feeling that I’ve forgotten some of them, so if you remember some that I haven’t searched for please let me know.

    It was fun to see how different their websites are, some have genious design while others have more design than usability. Many of the ones who have useless sites have a text like ‘Site design is being updated», but I think that was there for a few years.

    Jeg var nysgjerrig på hvordan det gikk med en del av mine favorittband fra 80-tallet og satte i gang litt søkig. Det var ikke helt lett å fine deres sider, enkelte av fan-sidene fungerer faktisk bedre enn den offentlige siden.
    Jeg ble overrasket over hvor mange av dem som fremdeles er aktiv.

    Noen har forsvunnet og andre har forandret navn, mange av dem lager fortsatt musikk og gjør turneer. Det er nok en del jeg har glemt, fid om du kan gi meg noen tips.

    I was at Brann Stadion yesterday and watched my local team play against Lillestrøm, its always a great pleasure to sit there and watch – over 15000 people makes a lot of fun mood. Especially when they win, like they did this match. Sometimes I forget watching the game and studies the people instead – its worth a doctor degree. People change when they enter the stadion – its like everyone becomes a little hooligan. Its weird but fun.

    Jeg var på Brann Stadion i går og så Brann mot Lillestrøm, det ble en fin opplevelse – både kampmessig og været. Det kunne ha vært litt bedre stemning på stadion synes jeg, Store stå kom veldig sent inn og det ble litt tamt. Men pytt pytt. Av og til glemmer jeg å se på kampen og sitter og studerer mennesker rundt meg istedet. Jeg tror det er verdt en doktorgrad oppgave, men det har vel noen gjort allerede tenker jeg. Folk endrer seg plutselig idet de går inn på stadion, som om de blir hooligans – ihvertfall mange av dem. Det var en Brannsupporter som løp bort til Kanarifuglene og ropte noen ord mens han viftet et Brann-flagg, plutselig reiste alle de gule og skulle ta ham. Vaktene flokket seg rundt Lillestrøm-supporterne og fikk roet dem ned. Snodige greier. 🙂

I am so proud! I’m not in very good shape these days but I walked up in 25 minutes, my fiance used 20 minutes.

    I have to admit that I thought I were about to die halfway but I pushed my limites and made it. At the top I felt an enourmous relief and proudness, after a few minutes my body felt great as well – I got a feeling I could climb any mountain. The view, the fresh air, watching other people finish it – everything was great about it.270420091155 My fiance has been incredible sporty quite a while and I’ve kind of been slacking – her last trip up the Stoltzekleiven inspired me to try so she agreed on letting me tag along.

    I don’t regret doing it and it made me want to practice more. I took the day off to do this, I also used the chance to spend some quality time with my fiance – lets just say that its been a day off with worthful content. After the Stoltzekleiven we walked back over the mountain, a one and a half our walk – I thought it was going to be though but it felt really good.
    270420091156 Check out this view, isn’t it awesome? It was a perfect day for enjoying the view, clean air and lots of sun. I think we had about 17 degrees celcius. I could sit for hours on that bench just breathing in the fresh air and view – we can see all the way to the northern sea.

    There is a yearly race at Stoltzekleiven where over 3000 runners tend the competition, but I’m not ready for that yet, I think the best ones run up in 8 minutes. I respect them more now after trying it myself. If I manage to get in shape again I think I will try to attend next year. 🙂

    The three mountains you can see here is Løvstakken (where I walked a lot before), Damsgårdsfjellet and Lyderhorn. Lyderhorn is the mountain where the witches gathered. Jeg er ikke i så veldig god form for tiden men jeg gikk opp på 25 minutter, min kjære samboer gikk på 20 minutter.

    Jeg må innrømme at jeg trodde jeg kom til å dø omtrent halvveis, men jeg klarte å bite tennene sammen og pushet meg selv helt opp. På toppen fikk jeg en enorm fin følelse av stolthet. Etter noen minutter følte jeg kroppen min også og fikk en følelse av at jeg kan klatre hvilket som helst fjell. Utsikten, den friske luften, titte på de andre som kom opp – alt var bare helt fantastisk.270420091155 Min samboer har vært utrolig sporty ganske lenge og jeg har på en måte seilet akterut – hennes forrige tur opp Stoltzekleiven inspirerte meg til å prøve så hun lot meg få henge på.

    Jeg angrer ikke på at jeg gjorde dette og det gav mersmak, nå har jeg lyst til å gå mere tur. Jeg tok ut fridag i dag for å gjøre dette, jeg så på det som en fin sjanse til å få litt alenetid med samboeren – det ble rett og slett en dag med kjempeflott innhold. En god investering. Etter Stoltzekleiven gikk vi tilbake over fjellet, en og en halv time gange – jeg trodde først det skulle bli veldig tøft men det gjorde utrolig godt.

    270420091156 Sjekk ut denne utsikten, er den ikke herlig? Det var en perfekt dag for å nyte utsikten, ren luft og masse sol. Jeg tror vi hadde rundt 17 grader i dag. Jeg kunne ha sittet på den benken der i mange timer og bare nyte den friske luften og utsikten. Gøy å kunne se så langt utover.

    Det er et årlig løp opp Stoltzekleiven hvor det i år skal være med 3000 løpere, men jeg er ikke klar for slikt ennå, jeg tror den beste løper opp på rundt 8 og et halvt minutt. Respekten min for dem har økt veldig etter å ha prøvd det selv. Om jeg klarer å komme meg i god form igjen så kanskje jeg skal prøve meg neste år. 🙂

    De tre fjellene du kan se her er Løvstakken (hvor jeg gikk mye før), Damsgårdsfjellet og Lyderhorn. Lyderhorn er stedet hvor heksene pleide å samles natt til 1. mai.     There is much talk about pirates of these days, pirates from Somalia and the pirates of The Pirate Bay. Today, in about about 1 hour the verdict will fall at Stockholm tingrätt, it’s going to be one of the major events for many today, both supporters and opponents to the TPB.

    I have many thoughts about this, both for and against file-sharing, but mostly I think that something must be done with the record industry. The record industry leaders want to become billionaires over night and do not care if artists suffer from bad contracts – should we accept this? I believe that this is core of the debate.

    File-sharing will never be beaten, it will always be with us – technical geniuses can always find a way, such as water leaks in a house. A good example of this is when the record companies spend 2 years and several billion to develop a copy protection system and a youngster uses 12 minutes to break it. The day after the copy protection was launched a small code could help you break it. Many could not play the CD in the car or on the computer – it was a mess for the record company industry and they had to eventually change its policies.

    In my opinion file-sharing is not only to download free stuff, it is a uproar against the powerful forces that do what they will. When you buy a song or a cd you don’t want to decide how it play it? When you buy a channell-package, satellite or cable – wouldn’t you decide what type of screen you will use? Image that the cable company forced you to buy a 42-inch Samsung to watch your favourite channel, if you had the wrong TV you could not watch it – Would that be OK?

    How much is left for the artist on a cd sale? There is not much – the record companies and distribution will take most of the cake. They want to earn big money, it is why they exist – they are not charity organizations. Do they have too much power? What if all artists released their music on the net and placed a ‘Donate’ button next to it, like a known band did? I think the artist would earn more money than ever.

    In my opinion,the record companies should either change their prices or they have to reconsider their position – the verdict today will not solve their problem, whatever happens to The Pirate Bay. Hundreds of similar services are out there, TPB is only a pebble in the sky.

    Det er mye snakk om pirater for tiden, pirater fra Somalia og pirater på The Pirate Bay. I dag om ca 2 timer vil dommen falle ved Stockholms tingrätt, det kommer til å bli en av dagens store begivenheter for mange, både tilhengere og motstandere til TPB.

    Jeg har mange tanker rundt dette, både for og i mot fil-deling, men mest heller jeg mot at noe må gjøres med plateindustrien. Plateindustriens høye herrer ønsker å bli milliardærer over natten og bryr seg ikke om artistene lider under dårlige kontrakter – skal vi godta dette? Jeg mener at det er dette som er kjernen i debatten.

    Fil-deling blir man aldri kvitt, den vil alltid være med oss – tekniske genier finner alltid en vei, som vannlekkasjer i et hus. Et godt eksempel på dette er når plateindustrien bruker 2 år og flere milliarder på å utvikle en kopibeskyttelse og en ungdom bruker 12 minutter på å knekke den. Dagen etter at kopibeskyttelsen ble lansert så kunne den omgås ved hjelp av en liten kode. Mange kunne ikke spille av CDen i bilen sin eller på pc – det ble et styr uten like for plateindustrien og de måtte til slutt endre sine prinsipper.

    Fil-deling er etter min mening ikke bare nedlasting fordi det er gratis, det er et opprør mot sterke krefter som får dure på som de vil. Når du kjøper en sang eller en cd vil ikke du få bestemme hvordan den spilles av? Når du kjøper deg en kanalpakke, parabol eller kabel – vil ikke du bestemme hvilken type skjerm du vil se på? Tenk om kanalprodusentene bestemte at du måtte kjøpe 42 tommer Samsung for å se på TV Norge, om du hadde feil TV så kunne du ikke se på kanalen – hadde det vært OK?

    Hvor mye får artistene igjen av et cd-salg? Det er ikke særlig mye – plateselskapene og distribusjon tar det meste av kaken. De skal tjene stor penger, det er jo derfor de er til – de er ikke veldedighetsorganisasjoner. Har de for mye makt? Hva om alle artister la ut musikken sin på nett og satte opp en ‘Donate’-knapp slik som et stort band gjorde? Jeg tror artistene hadde tjent penger som aldri før.

    Etter min mening bør plateselskapene enten forandre sin pris ellers så må de begynne å tenke nytt – dommen i dag vil ikke løse deres problem, uansett utkom. The Pirate Bay er bare en av hundrevis av lignende tjenester, man vil aldri bli kvitt dem.

Either people have had little time to use their brain cells or they simply think they can park their car everywhere they want. A farmer got fed up with tourists parking on his property and put up this sign which says «Think twice! Park here only with permission». I loved it and had to share it with you guys.

    A few days ago I parked in the city centre and saw two cars parked on spots with electric outlets dedicated to electric cars – I wish the farmer could visit us. All plates on electric cars in Norway start with «EL».

    Today we decided to visit Fløy mountain again, this turns out to be a mountain-easter. 🙂 There were a treasure hunt for the kids up there today and we had a great time. The tasks were fun and we went up hills, into woods, visiting huts and round lakes while we answered questions and solved a crossword. I can’t say I miss the snow-easter, though it would be fun to ski some but I think we’ve had some great days so far, a lot of fresh air and nice sceneries.

    I dag var vi på Fløyfjellet igjen, dette ser ut til å bli en slags fjell-påske alikevel. 🙂 I dag var det skattejakt for barne der oppe og vi hadde en kjempefin dag. Oppgavene var morsomme, vi var overalt i terrenget, inn i skogen, opp på hauger og ned rundt vann, etterpå skulle kryssordet løses fra oppgavene vi hadde gjort. De har vært kjempeflinke med å arrangere årets skattejakt. Jeg kan ikke si at jeg savner snø-påsken, litt artig hadde det selvfølgelig vært og stått litt på ski men.. vi har hatt noen flotte dager til nå, mye frisk luft og flott utsikt.
