She thought the man from Uganda were a student and needed money.

    After a while the police found out that he was selling books, a 45 year long tradition where students travel around the country and sell books for a publisher where they get a portion of the sale. This year is the first time they use a pay terminal. I have to admit that it is a bit embarrasing that Norwegians jump to conclutions like this..

    This reminded me of Carol Murray, a beggar who accepts credit cards. Its not a pay terminal but..

Det viste seg å være en bokselger. Men først må jeg få si at dette er litt pinlig for nordmenn, det viser jo hvor rask vi er til å dømme mennesker av utenlandsk opprinnelse.

    Her er saken jeg kom på, Carol Murray skaffet seg en kortleser av den gamle sorten men det er jo et steg i riktig retning. 🙂

    Det som er ekstra pinlig er at DN fortsatt tror at det er en tigger.

    Nå har VG lagt til en artikkel hvor vi får møte bokselgeren. Der sier Bokforlaget at de forstår at folk blir skremt..

BBC posted this a few days ago but Norwegian newspapers are a bit slow so this one got posted today – not a fitting date if you ask me.

    People in the comment field is claiming it as an april fool. Oh man… 🙂

    The most irritating april fool today is the Mystique theme where all gravatars suddenly change to cute unicorn ponies. «One Piece Pony». The developer of Mystique implemented this in lib/core.php and hits on every april 1st. Grr..

Men VG stakkar, de sliter med saken om de 2000 år gamle kristne skriftene – en aprilspøk sies det i kommentarene. Det synes jeg var litt morsomt.     Dagens mest irriterende aprilspøk er karen som har laget Mystique template/tema til WordPress. Han har lagt inn i koden (lib/core.php) at når datoen blir 1. april så byttes alle gravatarer om til søte små enhjørninger. I think there is a code to break though, and when you break it you find an awesome man with a warm humor. People shouldn’t judge him too quickly. I found a few funny YouTube clips where he imitates well known persons in Norway. I think they show a lot of Petter Northug. Their in Norwegian though… I’m not sure if this is interesting at all but… that is the downside of writing posts in both Norwegian and English. 🙂

I was lucky to go to the dress rehearsal yesterday and had an awesome time, their new show will be a hit in Norway. When asked about the creative title of the show they answered «yeah we work a lot with the titles, we discussed this year if we should call it 3.5 or 3.5 beta but then we though; woah – how about Ylvis 4, it is incredible fitting». Some might react to the show though, it involved a few things I still chew on, they were singing Piet Jesu and started to fight. The fight got rougher and rougher and the blood were splatting around – not really my taste but all in all it was a good show. Its their premiere later today, I’m excited to read what other people think about the show.

Jeg kan ikke sammenligne mot de forrige men jeg synes fremdeles at de er utrolig flinke. Stilen er lagt litt om merket jeg, det var litt mer fjortiss-humor eller Eia-humor som noen sier. Det er nok ikke alt som kommer til å falle i god jord tror jeg. Men det var ihvert fall kjekt å se dem igjen. For meg er de underholdnings-genier, kanskje det er bare jeg som har begynt å bli gammel. 🙂 De er flink å synge og drar frem sketcher som man aldri skulle tro skulle være mulig å finne på. Og så fikk man en koselig oppdatering på hvordan det gikk med familie, hytter og slikt. 🙂 I kveld er det premiere på Ylvis 4, det blir spennende å høre hvordan mottakelsen blir.

I should be careful mocking them though since I often do this myself. This was was funny though, when some store setup a sale they often place them on pallets and create a «pallet sale» where the products are placed on a pallet – Pallet Sale. They wrote sale wrong though and wrote slag, which means stroke/punch. I feel silly now writing this whole explanation..
