    Nothing much fun in the newspapers this weekend, mostly horrible stuff. So I’ll share a few links I found funny this weekend, I hope you like them.

    Det er ikke særlig med lesestoff i dagens aviser, bortsett fra noen elendige artikler om tapt bagasje, Mullaen vår som tapte nok en gang i retten og Anita Skorgan som solgte datteren sin. Og på VG og Dagbladet er det faktisk mer reklame enn lesestoff. Derfor tenkte jeg å dele noen linker som jeg har hatt stor glede av de siste dagene.

    Newspapers are filled with tragic news this week, I needed a break from it and filtered them out on a few sites. These ones appeared :

    The drunk swede
    This morning the police had to come get a drunk swede from the train at Voss station. Last night he went to sleep after a long day. He probably did what he always did, stripped his clothes off and went to bed. He should check his ‘bed’ better though. The passengers around him in the seat section kind of felt unconfortable with a naked man lying on the floor. 🙂

    «The jump»
    A 78 year old man was unfortunate to drive off a ramp in a parking house. Locals say it just had to happened some day. People are probably going to blame his age but if you look at the photo, it could happend the best. I mean, its weird that it didn’t happend before. Locals are calling it «the jump».

    Wet debate technique
    Romania’s staid election campaign has been shaken after a former bodybuilder turned senator hurled a glass of water at a female rival during a heated TV debate yesterday.

    Cardboard figure keeps police at bay
    A cardboard figure of a person inside a Somerset County bank kept police at bay for 90 minutes tonight, authorities said. The standoff at the PNC Bank on routes 518 and 601 in the Skillman section of Montgomery Township ended at about 10:20 p.m., Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest said. Link to article.

    Avisene denne uken er fylt med tragiske historier. Jeg trengte en liten pause fra slikt og filtrerte dem ut fra et par sites. Disse dukket opp :

    Full svenske på natt-toget
    I morges måtte politiet hente en full svanske på toget ved Voss station. I går kveld la han seg for å sove, sikkert etter en lang tøff dag. Han gjorde som han pleide, kledde seg naken og la seg til å sove. Problemet var at han lå i midtgangen i togvognen. Medpassasjerene følte seg sikkert litt brydd og kontaktet betjeningen.     ‘Hoppet’
    En 78 år gammel kar var uheldig og kjørte utfor en rampe i et parkeringshus. Lokale sier at dette var dømt til å hende en vakker dag. Folk kommer sikkert til å skylde på alderen hans men om du ser på bildet så er jeg sikker på at det kunne ha skjedd med den beste. Jeg synes det er utrolig at det ikke har skjedd før. Lokale kaller rampen for ‘hoppet’. Link til artikkelen.

    Våt debatt-teknikk
    I en debatt på TV i Romania gikk debatten heftig for seg. Ifølge nyhetsbyrået AP startet bråket da den kvinnelige politikeren kalte Marinescu for et bidet (setebadekar, journ. anm.).

    – Du har ansikt som et bidet, dame. Du er en virkelig liten person, svarer den tidligere kroppsbyggeren.

    Pappfigur holder politiet i sjakk
    En pappfigur i Somerset County bank holder politiet i sjakk i over 90 minutter. Episoden var visstnok ganske intens siden politiet ikke fikk svar fra ‘personen’. Link til artikkelen.

    Sjekk ut karen her, ikke helt edru og har sikkert ikke fått tak i taxi. Det er utrolig at bileieren ikke enser hva som skjer. En forbipasserende legger merke til sjanglingen men.. han klarer å stikke av med bilen!

    Do you remember Pia Haraldsen when she interviewed James Oddo? In the middle of the interview Oddo became aware where this was going and made a complete fool of himself. Check out the video below.

    She were supposed to cover the election but a few days ago she were denied visa to USA. When I first heard that TV2 in Norway were sending her to cover the election as their correspondant abroad I thought it was a joke. Apparently not, but her work kind of is a joke because it was the entertainment department of TV2 that were sending her over.

    She is well known for her satire and James Oddo is only one of many victim of her play. USA apparently see this as a threat to the national security.

    Pia graduated from Goldsmiths College i London and holds an international press card, this didn’t help much though.

    You can follow her blog here. Its in Norwegian though but there is a funny video. She describes her meeting at the American embassy, talking to an angry lesbian lady. Her application where denied by Homeland Security.

    Husker du da Pia Haraldsen intervjuet James Oddo? I midten av intervjuet forsto Oddo hva det gikk i, og fikk et raseriutbrudd uten like, og dummet seg forferdelig ut. Pia ble ganske berømt i USA for dette og ble invitert bort av alskens tvstasjoner. Sjekk ut videoen under.

    Pia skulle egentlig dekke valget, men fikk nylig avslag på visum-søknaden hennes. Når jeg først hørte at TV 2 skulle sende henne over som utenrikskorrespondent så trodde jeg først det var en spøk. På en måte er det vel det, siden det er TV 2 Underholdning som skulle sende henne.

    Jeg må si at jeg liker hennes satire, men det gjør tydeligvis ikke våre kjære amerikanske venner, spesielt Amerikas Homeland Security, departementet for nasjonal sikkerhet. Det var de som ikke anbefalte visum.

    Pia gikk ved Goldsmiths College i London, er medlem av Norsk Journalistlag og har internasjonalt pressekort. Men det hjalp tydeligvis ikke, den lesbiske damen (i følge Pia) ved den amerikanske ambasade mente at hun ikke var en ekte journalist. Les litt om dette her.

Buddy is filming. But.. the pilot forgot something important. The landing wheels! A lot of swearing, in Norwegian. 🙂

    Det var en stille og rolig dag i Mai, solen skinte og kameraten var med på tur og filmet. De landet på Vigra men piloten glemte noe viktig – landingshjulene!

    Vi er alle vant ned det på Internet, tekniske feil og meldinger om at siden ikke kan vises – vell, det skjer på tekst TV også! Jeg måtte bare dele dette, synes det var morsomt at det skjer på Tekst-TV også. 🙂

    Sometimes I have to help friends or family with their PC, wlan etc. One time I had to help one because their wlan were open and neighbours were using it. I remembered someone creating a genius solution for this.

    I know this is old but it deserve to be bumped a little. There was a guy who were fed up by neighbours who leached on his wlan, not wanting to lock it he thought of a more fun way to torture his neighbour. He created a split on his wlan so when his neighbour connected he got on an own system. And in that system were a script which turns every image upside down! So when his neighbour surfed around everything seemed ok except the images that were upside down.

    Av og til trenger familie eller venner litt pchjelp eller hjelp med wlanet. Sist da noen naboer surfet på et åpent wlan kom jeg på en artig løsning som en kar en gang lagde.

    Jeg vet at den begynner å bli litt gammel men jeg synes den fortjener å bli frisket opp. Han var lei av at naboene surfet på wlanet hans. Han ville ikke låse det men heller finne på noe artig. Og det gjorde han virkelig. Han splittet wlanet i to slik at naboen kom inn på et separat nettverk. I det nettverket lagde han scripts som snudde alle bilder på hodet. Så når naboen surfet på nettet gikk han, uten å vite det, gjennom dette scriptet. Alt så tilsynelatende greit ut men alle bildene var snudd på hodet.
