At the top the wind measured 18-20 m/s (34-38 knots). I got to the top, ate lunch, took some pictures and ran down again. 🙂

Da jeg trasket siste stykket begynte vinden å øke på. Fra måledata på Ulriken ser jeg at det var ca 18-20 m/s da jeg var der. På toppen knipset jeg noen bilder, spiste noen skiver i full fart og seilte ned igjen. 🙂

The mountain (Ulriken) in the background were lit up by the sun.

This was the sky the opposite way.

Sol, regn og flekker med blå himmel. I bakgrunnen ble Ulriken opplyst av solen. Det var vanskelig å fange opp på kamera men det ble ikke så gale.

A Sunday trip to the Ulriken mountain|En liten tur på Ulriken

It was very foggy so we didn’t see much but we had a great time anyway and going treasure hunting with GPS was fun. Heres a few photos I took:

Brus også om de ville ha men minsten ville ha vann istedet. Vi gikk på skattejakt med GPS og hadde snøballkrig, en herlig tur – takk for kjempefint opplegg Ulriken!

Walking 4 mountains|4-fjellsturen

I’ve never done it before so I’m very proud of finishing it. We had a great time, I walked with our little princess (8 yo) and I’m proud of her too. We started around 9am and finished about 6pm. 8000 people participated, 5000 for the 7 mountains and 3000 for the 4 – isn’t that incredible? It was a bit crowded on the mountains but it was fun.

My feet are hurting but it was worth it. Heres some of the photos I took on the walk:

Det er første gang jeg har vært med på dette så prinsessen i huset (8 år) og jeg tok 4-fjellsturen. Jeg må innrømme at jeg er veldig stolt over å ha klart det, og enda mer stolt over den standhaftige 8-åringen. Det ble mye køgåing, 8000 i fjellene byr på bra trafikk men jeg synes det var artig alikevel.

Skywatch Friday – Visiting the sky|Skywatch fredag – Ulrikenbesøk

Yesterday we had awesome weather, a bit misty but it was time to visit the mountain again. The Area cableway was recently re-openend after a long period of maintainance – now it welcomes tourists to visit a great place with a lovely view. Way below you can see the stadium of our local football team Brann.

On 643 meters you are the king of the world, in Bergen.

27 degrees celcius, the summer is here. Its fun to see tourists enjoying the visit, and its fun to be a tourist in your own town.

En kamerat og jeg tok den nyrestaurerte Ulriksbanen opp for å ta litt bilder og nyte dagen. De har vært kjempeflinke der oppe, aldri før har det sett så greit ut der oppe – men utsikten er den samme, like nydelig.

På 643 meters høyde er du kongen av verden, i Bergen.

27 grader, sommeren er her. Synd at det var litt dis men vi hadde en fantastisk dag. Turistene koste seg og på den nye restauranten satt folk og spiste god mat med den perfekte utsikt.

Den andre siden, snødekte fjell i det fjerne.
