We had planned a long walk today but on our way up we had to turn, the fog were thick and we decided to be on the safe side. I took some pictures though and we had a nice time. Its nice to be out there these days, mother nature is working hard to prepare for summer. I’m a bit disapointed by my camera though, it doesnt behave well in this light. What do you think?

Vi hadde planer om langtur til Vikinghytten i dag men oppover Hjortlandsdalen så vi raskt at det ikke var så lurt å fortsette, tett tåke bredte seg utover landskapet så vi snudde. Vi hadde det kjempe kjekt likevel og jeg fikk tatt litt bilder. Det er herlig å være ute i naturen i disse dager, moder natur jobber på spreng for å gjøre seg klar til sommeren. Men jeg er litt skuffet over kameraet mitt, det takler ikke lyset så bra. Eller hva synes dere?

How on earth?|Hvordan i alle dager?

How on earth do they manage to do this?

Ofcourse its sad news each time but I can’t help finding it a bit amusing – we’ve been sailing for centuries and yet we haven’t found a way to avoid this. And when I sometimes walk by a cargo ship I try to find a way to climb it from sea level, no chance! Its a fortress! So how do they manage it?

And if there is an obvious way, why don’t they block it? Is there an unwritten rule that say ship crews are not allowed to block pirates? But when they’re first about they are allowed to flush them off?

Jeg er like fascinert hver gang – hvordan klarer de det?

Klart, det er trist hver gang men jeg må innrømme at jeg synes det enkelte ganger er litt komisk – vi har seilt i mange hundreår men har ennå ikke klart å sikre et skip mot kapring. Og disse store fraktskipene ser jo ut som rene festningene! Jeg har av og til gått forbi store skip når det har lagt til kai og hver gang har jeg prøvd å finne en måte å komme ombord skipet fra havnivå, men aldri har jeg funnet noen løsning. Så hvordan?

Om det finnes en åpenbar løsning på spørsmålet mitt, hvorfor blokkerer man ikke muligheten når man er i fart? Er det slik at det finnes en lov mot å blokkere for pirater men at man har lov til å spyle dem på sjøen når dem først er ombord?

A Sunday on Fløyen|En søndag på Fløyen

We packed our bags with lunch and hot chocolate – we had a vote if we should take the funicular up or down, this time we went up with it and walked down. 🙂

It was a great trip, we spent some time in the Troll forest greeting the wide selection of trolls, climbed some bridges and visited a few playhouses. Can you spot the troll-faces on this photo?

Sorry about the quality on these ones, my camera acted weird in the special light, wish I had a real camera.

Vi stemte om vi skulle ta fløybanen opp eller ned – denne gangen tok vi den opp og gikk ned. Vi koste oss masse, spiste niste og drakk varm sjokolade i Trollskogen. Klarer du å se de små tretrollene her?

Beklager kvaliteten på disse, mobilkameraet oppførte seg litt rart i det spesielle lyset, skulle ønske jeg hadde et skikkelig speilrefleks kamera.

Visiting Stockholm|Stockholm i full fart

[lang_en]I visited Stockholm in Sweden yesterday to do some work, I also hoped to snap some photos of the beautiful city. But I guess many of you will recognize the selection of photos I managed to take, I had an intensive program at work so I didn’t get the chance to see much.

Do you remember a comment from a passenger on the bus in Speed the movie? «I’ve already seen the airport» – I felt like him. hehe

I hope I get the chance to visit Stockholm again soon when I have better time, I share my photos anyway – its what I saw of Stockholm. 🙂

[/lang_en][lang_nb-no]Jeg besøkte Stockholm i går for å få unna litt arbeid, jeg håpet også på å få tatt noen bilder av den nydelige byen. Men den gang ei, jeg vil tippe at mange av dere gjenkjenner seleksjonen av bilder jeg tok, et typisk jobbreise-utvalg. Jeg hadde et ganske intenst program.

Husker du passasjeren på bussen i filmen Speed? Han som sa; «Jeg har allerede sett flyplassen» – jeg opplevde i går det han følte. 🙂

Jeg håper jeg får sjansen til å besøke byen igjen snart og at jeg har litt bedre tid, men jeg deler bildene uansett – dette er hva jeg så av Stockholm. 🙂

A beautiful day at Furedalen|En herlig dag i Furedalen

Its only an hour drive from home, for me it is a pearl real near us. It was quite windy at the top though, we had to struggle a bit to get started downwards, but that was only fun. The sight were much better today, no mist at all and the sun peaked through once in a while.

I tried to capture the wind but that wasn’t easy :

The only downside with doing this is the price, we payed about $100 for two persons, I think that is too expensive but I guess it costs a lot to keep the alpine center in shape. Its kind of worth it though, I love going up the lifts enjoying the scenery and slalom creates a kind of freedom feeling.

Det er godt å ha et slikt sted så nært oss, bare en time kjøring. Eikedalen er nærmere men prinsen i huset har ikke stått så mye slalom før og da er Furedalen veldig grei. Vi får prøve oss litt i Eikedalen snart tenker jeg. Det blåste kraftig i dag men sikten var mye bedre enn sist og solen gløttet fram titt og ofte. Senere på dagen besøkte vi onkel og tante, der ble vi servert god mat og kake til kaffe – det var luksus etter en dag i løypen. Og så gikk jo strømmen, som den visstnok ofte gjør i høytidene på Kvamskogen. Det var visst brann i en høyspentmast i Gråsteinsdalen ved Røyrli.

Jeg prøvde å fange vinden på kamera men det ble ikke så bra :

En herlig dag, litt dyrt i Furedalen, 700 for 2 personer er litt mye synes jeg. Men men, det er verdt det egentlig. Det er herlig å slappe av med litt slalom av og til.[/lang_nb-no][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Jeg måtte humre litt da jeg så den nye isen til Henning Olsen, først trodde jeg det var en spøk men det er ennå lenge til 1. April. Hvor lenge vil det ta før Apple tar kontakt? Jeg tipper de ringer ganske snart.

Jeg forventet meg egentlig å se Drilloisen tilbake i den nye brosjyren men denne var jo veldig morsom, kommer sikkert til å bli en hit.

Forgot over 70000 dollars on the tram|Tragisk forglemmelse på trikken

Her family had discovered that she kept the money at home in a drawer and told her to put them in the bank immediately. She followed their advice but on her way to the bank she left her purse. Can you imagine the pain? She were so embarrassed that she didn’t tell her family about it until the day after. Then they reported it but it will be difficult to track the event on the security cameras.

In my opinion this is the family’s fault, she would still have them if they didn’t interfere. And Swedish banks doesn’t guarantee for more than $29000, so she would loose most of them anyway in these bank-crisis times where banks go bankrupt.

I vesken sin hadde hun en halv million! Hun har spart hele livet sier hun og tviler på at pengene aldri dukker opp igjen.

Familien hennes hadde oppdaget pengene hjemme hos henne og bad henne sette dem inn i banken. Hun fulgte familiens råd som fikk et tragisk utfall. Tenk så utrolig pinlig for familien. Hadde ikke de blandet seg inn så hadde pengene fortsatt vært trygge.

I svenske banker har man ikke sikkerhet for mer enn 200.000, hun var dømt til å tape pengene. Bankene går vel på en smell igjen snart.

Commuting today|Tar bussen i dag

I am taking the buss today and when I do I always drive pass the little ferry «Beffen». Its a small ferry many commuters use across the port instead of walking around it. Its a fun little ferry, thought I’d share a photo I managed to take today, the bus finally stopped in a super position where I also could capture the Statsraad Lehmkuhl. Jeg tar bussen i dag og kjører alltid forbi Beffen men har aldri klart å ta et greit bilde fra innsiden. I dag var jeg heldig og som bonus fikk jeg med meg Statsraaden. 🙂 Tenkte jeg skulle dele det koselige synet.
