The story about Clara was released today, she was born three and a half months too early and she only weighed 0.67 pounds (307 gram)!
Have you seen anything that tiny?
I was stunned when I saw these images (courtesy family photos) and was worried to carry on reading. But it was happy reading! She recovered quickly and today she is a happy and a healthy little lady.
It might be because I so clearly remember the birth of my daughter but I felt tears coming seeing these images.
Clara was born in Sweden December 17th last year.
Her father Anders Borg followed her to the emergency room and let his finger rest under her hand – and she gripped it!
The day after she opened her eyes, and after 3 weeks later the parents were allowed to hold her.

At week 24 she stopped growing and they had a rough time following, but each time the doctors came with grief news Clara gave them good signs of life.
Yesterday she was 10 months and look forward to her birthday December 17th.

Har dere noen gang sett noe så lite? Lille Clara var bare 307 gram da hun ble født, det er helt vanvittig. Etter uke 24 sluttet hun å vokse og tiden som fulgte var tøff, men hver gang legene kom med dårlige nyheter så kom Clara med gode livstegn. (Foto: fam Borg)
Jeg husker så utrolig godt vårt opphold på Kvinneklinikken da vår datter ble født, det gjorde nok ting litt sterkere da jeg leste om lille Clara – tenk at alt gikk bra med henne.
I går feiret de 10 måneder og hun gleder seg til bursdagen sin 17. desember.

Rigmor og Hanne er to resurssterke personer som etter min mening kommer til å gjøre en kjempejobb – de første 6 månedene. Da blir de slukt av byråkratiet og vil fungere på samme måte som de andre. Den eneste personen jeg ble skuffet av å se på listen her er Kristin Halvorsen, hva kan hun gjøre for barna våre i skolen? Gi dem melk i miljøkartong?
Ingen Brustad på listen heldigvis, men håper selvfølgelig at det går bra med henne. Det var kjekt å se Sigbjørn Johnsen igjen, så nå må vi vel jobbe til vi blir 70 hele gjengen. 😉

Of some reason I’ve always thought stitching images was for horizontal stitching, not vertical and horizontal. The result was always long strips of panorama. 🙂 But by accident when I was experimenting with MS’ Ice I noticed that I could stitch together in the height too. That was fun and it has resulted in a new hobby; stitching! Now I’m going through every folder I can find to check if there is something to stitch. Heres a few examples what I’ve been experimenting with.
Don’t forget that I’ve taken these with my cellphone, and I’m not professional. But I’d love to hear your opinion on these.

I thought this one was funny, new and old worlds mixed together. In the background you can see an old Reeperbahn, a place where they made long ropes. We had 28 of these but now theres only 2 left. People burn them down and say it was an accident, to get the estate to build on.

I think its a great way to train on taking photos, when I’m out walking I’m always looking for a photo opportunity, and how lighting is. Jeg har i det siste lekt meg litt med Microsoft sitt ICE program og oppdaget ved en tilfeldighet at man kan ta bilder oppover og sy dem sammen også! Kall meg gjerne treg men dette er jo fantastisk.. for en eh nerd. Så nå har jeg fått meg en ny hobby, sammensying av bilder!
Nå tråler jeg gjennom hver eneste bilde-katalog jeg kan finne for å se om det er noe jeg kan sy sammen – det er kjempemorro. Her er noen eksempler. Men husk på at jeg har tatt dem med mobiltelefonen min, og at jeg ikke er særlig profesjonell. 🙂

Jeg likte hvordan bakken ble påvirket av sammensyingen, det fikk ganske gøy dybde gjorde det ikke? Jeg burde ha tatt noen flere her slik at det ble en firkant men da jeg tok bildet så ante jeg ikke om mulighetene.

Jeg synes dette ble litt morsomt, 2 verdener møtes. I bakgrunnen er en gammel reperbane. Nå har vi bare 2 av dem igjen, vi hadde opprinnelig 28 i Bergen men de fleste er brent ned av folk som trengte tomten. (Bryggen neste?)

[lang_en]I’ve noticed that people are stretching ethics trying to get attention, we’ve seen it from the guys of Jack Ass and we see it a lot on the net on reddit, 4chan, digg, facebook etc. People are setting up a wide range of hoaxes or jokes just to get attention. Most of them are harmless, like the ones who create a couple of fake users on Facebook and have a blast at each other for everyone else to see or moves a traffic sign to design a funny situation and submit their photo to reddit.
Then we have the father in Larimer County, Colorado – most likely that was a hoax and now the family might loose their kids and get a $500000 fine. If it is true that this was a hoax its a new level of getting attention – they have ruined their kids’ life, how far out is that?
Its like people have no ethical borders left – who do our youngsters learn from? Media and adults, they think its normal and I’m not surprised that this problem will grow larger and larger. Kids learn from adults that its ok to punch down a buddy if they are angry, they learn that war is normal, they learn that bombing a city with innocent people is normal, they learn if they videotape something crazy they will get a lot of attention via media.
Where are we going with this?[/lang_en][lang_nb-no]I de siste årene har jeg lagt merke til at etiske grenser hele tiden flyttes, det blir mer og mer vanlig at ungdom og voksne gjør sprøe ting for å få litt oppmerksomhet. Vi ser det på Digg, 4Chan, Reddit, Facebook, Youtube etc – grensene for hva som er akseptert vokser for hver dag. Mange fabrikkerer hendelser for å få litt oppmerksomhet, de fleste av dem er harmløs – som de som lager Facebook kontoer med falske navn og lager en heidundrende krangel og senere tar skjermbilde og legger ut på 4chan, reddit og digg. Eller ungdommene som flytter trafikkskilt og lager en morsom situasjon og tar bilde.
Men nå har altså en familie med luftballongen i Larimer County, Colorado flyttet grensen litt til, og mest sannsynlig så har de ødelagt 3 barns liv. Om det er riktig at de har fabrikkert denne hendelsen så risikerer de å bli fratatt barna, 1,8 millioner i bot og kanskje 6 års fengsel. Så mye kan litt oppmerksomhet koste. Hadde det vært kun voksne involvert så hadde jeg kanskje ledd litt men når de drar inn uskyldige barn i dette så er det noe alvorlig galt. Det er såpass gale at jeg begynner å lure på om moren med barnevognen som ruller ned på togskinnene også er en fabrikkert hendelse. Så langt har vi kommet, at folk gjør de utroligste ting bare for å få oppmerksomhet. Hvor skal dette ende?
Media sluker jo slike historier, de bryr seg ikke om de er fabrikkert eller ikke for de trenger sin oppmerksomhet. En slik sak er sikkert flere millioner hits for VG, det betyr masse penger. Skal media stilles ansvarlig om de har slått stort opp om en sak som er fabrikkert? Hvor mye kan man kreve av dem for å sjekke opp en sak, om de ikke er først ute om å skrive om saken så taper de kanskje de millioner treffene så da er det ikke mye tid til å sjekke.
Lignende saker er for eksempel Anna Odell, kunstneren som blir innlagt som spilte sinn-syk og ble tvangsinnlagt. Mange mener det var kunst på høyt nivå mens andre ble opprørt.
Grenser sprenges hele tiden, mange unge tror det er helt normalt å slå sine kamerater om de ikke har oppført seg, for det ser jo de voksne gjøre, de tror at det er normalt at man bomber en by selv om det også finnes uskyldige mennesker der, de tror det er normalt å skyte ned et menneske, de tror det er normalt å spille inn en voldsepisode og legge den ut på Youtube – voksne gjør jo det, så hvorfor ikke tenker de?
Her i Bergen blir buss-sjåfører slått ned, mange synes det er forståelig side enkelte sjåfører ikke oppfører seg – når overvåkningsvideoen ble lagt ut så var det mange ungdommer som humret. Bra underholdning mener de.
[lang_en]March last year Lidl «gave up» Norway and sold their 50 stores to Rema 1000, after a long and tiresome struggle I guess they realized that they weren’t welcome in Norway. The price were secret, until now – Rema 1000 paid 380 million dollars! That is quite a sum for only 50 stores, but with them they got great estates, inventory and all the employees.
I wrote about this in March and I was always skeptic to how Lidl was treated here, transporters boycotted them and blocked their deliveries, media created stories about how bad they treated their employees etc.
I’ve tried to find similar Lidl situation other places but can’t find any – is this unique to Norway?[/lang_en][lang_nb-no]Nå er prisen altså lekket ut, 1,9 milliarder for 50 Lidl butikker, alle eiendommer, inventar og ansatte. Dette er nok småpenger for lavprisgiganten Rema som sikkert ville ha tapt mer om Lidl fikk fotfeste i Norge. Jeg skrev om dette i mars i fjor og var ganske skeptisk til at konkurransemyndighetene godtok oppkjøpet men sånn kan det gå. Jeg følte rett og slett at Lidl ble presset ut. Alle slengte drit om Lidl men alle gikk der. Nesten som Se & Hør, ingen vedgår at de kjøper det men alle leser det.
Jeg tror dette er ganske unikt for verden, jeg har ikke hørt lignende historier om Lidl i utlandet. Har dere?

På bloggen til Twingly begynte folk å spørre hva som hadde skjedd, spesielt på posten for Dagbladets Twingly annonsering, se hva som har skjedd nå, tilfeldig?

Earlier the region visited it contained thicker multiyear ice which lasted long. Now the ice is down to 1.8 meters (six feet) and melts faster.

Wadhams said the Catlin Arctic Survey data supports the new consensus that the Arctic will be ice-free in summer within 20 years, and that much of the decrease will happen within 10 years.

Tidligere besto isen av tykkere lag som klarte seg året rundt men isen nå ser ut til å ikke klare dette. Om ti til 30 år vil somrene være isfri mener forskerne. VG mener 20 i dag, i går 10. Øblog mener det er 4.
Resultatene kommer i forkant av klimakonferansen i København i desember. Nå skal Universitetet i Cambridge analysere resultatene.

I was surprised to see it worked! Here is a small video I made while testing it.
Its important to download the latest drivers for the protection system from Lenovo’s update manager. Use the Vista drivers even if you have Windows 7.

Så jeg lastet ned de siste driverne til T400 fra Lenovos oppdateringsprogram og installerte Vista driverne, selv om jeg kjører Windows 7.
Deretter lastet jeg ned en nattlig Firefox versjon (3.7) og prøvde.. Det virket! Se her:
