Media says here that we’ve inherited this from USA but I kind of disagree. Every kid here have bought their costume, not a creative soul out there. I’ve seen a lot of Americans preparing for Halloween this week, a lot of creative people who design their own costume. So to say we’ve copied this from the US is in my opinion wrong – we should copy their creativity too!

Det er ikke tvil om at norske barn ikke helt forstår greien. De får styre på de som ønsker å henge seg på, men at vi har arvet alt dette av amerikanerne blir litt feil. Jeg har fulgt med de siste ukene hos blog-kollegaer som skal feire halloween. De har brukt flere måneder på å sy og ordne utkledningen sin. Det er det et fåtall av de norske barna som gjør. Jeg synes jeg kjenner igjen en del Nille-utstyr. Det er jo litt trist, når vi først innvier ungene våre inn i dette så burde jo vi lære dem litt kreativitet eller hva?
Hvordan er det hos dere, har ungene laget mye av kostymene selv?

A small community in western parts of Norway lost its road due to maintenance this week and the area has no alternative roads. There were rumors of a ferry being inserted to help the people who live there and lets just say that they were shocked when they found out what they were given.
The Norwegian Maritime Directorate is complaining of course and wants it taken off duty because of safety reasons but the Public Roads Administration which maintain the road claims it has been used before at several occasions.
Update: It has now been taken off duty and the people who live there don’t know what to do.
