  • Why do we suddenly care about Iran?|Hvorfor bryr vi oss plutselig om Iran?

    [lang_en]Before the election the media or the rest of the world couldn’t care less about Iran, we would rather nuke it. But that was before something happened in Iran – president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fixed the vote. Big deal, that always happened in Iran, so why the difference?

    Now the large net-companies like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr and other popular services fights over your input on Iran – is it because their eager to spread the word to help Iran or is it to make easy money?

    Many feel that the world wide financial crisis is over, is that the reason why sudden people starts to care about others? I’ve read a few discussion where many say that during financial crises people tend to close their receivers and concentrate on surviving – I guess that is a human function we have to accept.

    Many youngsters in Iran say that they want to be like the rest of the world, they want democracy. They saw hope in Mir Hussein Mousavi. Is this the reason for the sudden interest in Iran? The world saw hope for a country but then it was crushed by a terrible dictator?

    Many say that Mousavi is no better than the sitting president, even Obama thinks that there is not much different between Mousavi and Ahmadinejad.

    So why the sudden interest? Is it only because we care? I find it difficult to believe.

    Search for «bomb Iran» and check out the results.[/lang_en][lang_nb-no]Før valget i Iran viste ikke media eller resten av verden noe særlig interesse for Iran – vi brydde oss rett og slett ikke. Mange ville heller ha bombet dem tilbake til steinalderen. Men det var før noe skjedde i Iran – president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad trikset med valgstemmene. Big deal, det skjer jo alltid i Iran så hvorfor skjer dette nå i så stor skala?

    Nå krangler YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook og alle de store og populære nett-stedene over informasjon om Iran – er det fordi de er så ivrig på å spre budskap om urettferdighet eller er det kun for å tjene penger?

    Noen føler at finanskrisen har roet seg, er det grunnen til at folk plutselig har begynt å bry seg om andre? Jeg har lest en del diskusjoner hvor man sier at i en finanskrise bryr de fleste kun om seg selv, for å overleve, og media skriver kun om hvor galt det går med økonomien. Nyheter om brudd på menneskerettigheter kommer i skyggen av økonomi.

    Mange ungdommer i Iran sier at de ønsker å være som resten av verden, de vil ha demokrati. De så håp i Mir Hussein Mousavi, er det grunnen til den plutselige interessen i Iran? Verden så håp i landet men så ble det knust av en fryktelig diktator?

    Enkelte sier at Mousavi ikke er noe særlig bedre alternativ, Obama blant annet mener det ikke er særlig store forskjellen mellom Mousavi og Ahmadinejad.

    Så hvorfor den plutselig interessen? Er det fordi vi bryr oss? Jeg finner det vanskelig å tro…

Telenor denies to do this but IFPI is now drawing them to court.

    I have problems seeing the logic here. Firstly, why the mixup, ISPs can’t begin to close access to certain sites – isn’t that what their doing in China, Iran etc? Why can’t they close The Pirate Bay via court? Oh they have problems doing that? Why? Because The Pirate Bay don’t break the law? Well why can IFPI demand censor then?

    Their demand is like.. What if I called my power company and said that I only wanted power from certain areas because the others aren’t environmental friendly? What do you think they would say?

    What am I missing here? I don’t get it.

Nå har tålmodigheten gått slutt sier Cato Strøm i TONO.

    Jeg har problemer med å forstå logikken her, hvorfor blander de inn Telenor i dette? Det blir som å kreve strøm kun fra enkelte områder fra vår strømleverandør! Skal jeg kunne si til min strømleverandør at jeg kun vil ha strøm fra Samnanger og Modalen fordi de andre har for høy forurensningssignatur?

    Om The Pirate Bay er en ulovlig nett-tjeneste hvorfor kan ikke riktig rettinstans få nettstedet stengt da? Klarer de ikke det? Hvorfor ikke det? Å det er ikke ulovlig? Nei.. men hvorfor skal IFPI da kunne kreve at Telenor stenger for trafikk til og fra The Pirate Bay da?

    Her må noen legge hodet litt i bløt før IFP driter seg fullstendig ut, dere må få tatt The Pirate Bay da! Ikke begynn å blande inn uskylde parter som ISPene – jeg ser dere klager på at musikksalget daler i Norge, det er ikke rart slik som dere oppfører dere. Dere ødelegger bare for artistene!

    Yesterday a local newspaper printed a story of an unlucky guy who paraglided from a mountain and had a rather unpleasant landing. They reported that he was lucky to get away from it with only some bruises, «I was scared when I realized I was about to crash, but it gave me a kick when I was up there» he said. He describes it as a nice ride. The newspaper continued to explain that his friends came to his rescue and helped him down and took him to a medical check.

    After it was published both on paper and on the net they received messages like «.. incredible that you fell for this story!» etc, and then it became clear : It was a bachelor party where his buddies put him up there and staged an accident! He were never up in a paraglider. They did for it fun and to put him on the spot for a little. His fiancé were shocked when she read about «the accident».

    The newspaper is rather embarrassed to have printed the story before they checked the facts.

    Jeg har egentlig ikke sansen for utdrikningslag som blir utdritningslag, men denne saken synes jeg var litt morsom. BA skrev i går både på nettet og i papirutgaven sin om den uheldige paraglideren som havnet i trærene. Det BA ikke visst var at dette var en spøk i et utdrikningslag, kameratene hang ham opp der og fikk ham til å late som om det var en ulykke. Forloveden fikk seg et sjokk da hun så dette i avisen.

    Egentlig synes jeg de har hatt litt flaks, tenk om det ble satt i gang full utrykning, eller ville brannvesenet eller politiet ha gått på spøken? De hadde sikkert ikke tatt så lett på det. Jaja, dette må være det morsomste jeg har lest på flere uker.

Og om jeg har vært litt treg så har modellen min gått ut på dato og de har byttet format på bladene. Fy søren jeg savner de gode gamle bladene.

    Nå leste jeg i Daily Mail og TV2 at det koster 2.80 å produsere en pakke med 4 blader – vi betaler 150! Dette er ren svindel.

    Jeg håper konkurransetilsynet følger opp denne saken, det må jo være noe galt her. I england selges en pakke for halve prisen av det vi betaler i Norge. Tro om det kanskje er på tide å importere litt selv?

    At ikke dagligvarekjedene reagerer? Eller er de med på dette?

    Its tragic if this was an act of terror. I mean, its tragic anyway but if this was done by muslims they will struggle in the days to come. I det siste har det vært et voldsomt pes mot dem i media og om det er riktig det som kommer frem i dag så vil det bli enda verre. Det burde være nok at pårørende til passasjerene nå går gjennom et helvete – mine tanker går også til dem.

    Bare på kort tid har vi blitt gjort oppmerksom på vold i koranskolene, strid om troskap til Norge etc etc.

    Hva blir det neste? At det er de som står for svineinfluensaen?

    I fjor på denne tiden hadde vi samme runde, og da gikk det ofte slik som dette.

  • The Boss in Bergen|Springsteen i Bergen

Hes in my hometown these days having concerts and I have to admit that I’m a bit proud that he visits this small town compared to European and American.

    When he arrived and saw where he was going to play he said in a playful tone «oh hey this was cozy, it will be like playing at a bbq party. Very nice neighbours here that allows us to play». I loved that, he has a great sense of humor. Koengen in Bergen is a small and intimate place – I hope he loved playing there. It takes about 22000 people.

Enkelte av sangene hans er magisk. Det er ganske stort at han er i Bergen, Norges nye konserthovedstad – man blir litt stolt. De er utrolig flinke til å dra inn store artister, og de kommer tilbake fordi de likte seg godt. Jeg liker Springsteens humor, da han så hvor han skulle spille så sa han «oi det blir jo som å spille på et grillparty, snille naboer her som lar oss spille her». Stor kommentar. Koengen er jo ikke gedigen, men plass til 22000 mennesker tiltrekker tydeligvis artister som Springsteen.

The only person who can send a kid out of the classroom is the head of the school – how backwards is that? Teachers have no power left to take action when difficult students ruin the class.

    But now our educational minister want to change that law, finally.

    I think parts of the problem is parents, everyone think that their kid is an angel and if their angel is being sent out of the classroom hell is loose and the parents threatens to sue the school or the teacher. And parents rely too much on the school to not only educate the kids but raise them as well – it has to go wrong eventually.

    I guess people realize how severe the problem is now, problemstudents are ruiening a lot of classes but the teachers can’t do anything. Det har lenge irritert meg at lærere ikke lenger kan sende elever ut på gangen uten å ha fått rektor på skolen til å gjøre det – hvorfor blande inn rektor?

    Jeg hører så og si daglig at enkelte elever ødelegger undervisningen for de andre men at lærerne ikke kan gjøre noe, en lærer kan rett og slett riskiere å miste jobben om en sender avgårde en elev. Da har det gått for langt synes jeg og det er på høy tid at lærerne får tilbake makten. Ikke så langt som imamene på koranskolene men et sted i mellom.

    Men det er utrolig viktig at om loven endres så må retningslinjene være klare og konsise. Blir det uklart så kommer lærerne dårlig ut av lovendringen og alt vil falle i fisk. For problemet i dag er at foreldre tror at ens egne barn er gullunger, og om en lærer sender datter eller sønn ut på gangen så settes himmel i bevegelse hvor foreldre truer med søksmål og represalier. Dette må vi sørge for at lærerne skal få slippe!

    Nei jeg er ikke lærer selv men jeg prøver å følge med litt i samfunnet og jeg er bekymret for skolen. De har nok å slite med, dårlig luft, bøker av lav kvalitet, lav lønn og vanskelige foreldre. Ja vanskelige foreldre, som krever at skolen også skal oppdra barna sine siden de ikke har tid selv.

    Vær så snill kunnskapsminister, hjelp lærerne – da hjelper du våre barn.

    Bygg tettere kanaler mellom de enkelte skolene og myndighetene, følg opp daglig for å raskere fange opp varselsaker. Så slipper man slike saker som har vært problemer i lang tid, som feks koranskolen som har mishandlet barn siden 2002.
